TAHOE

This year for Memorial Day weekend my friends and I decided we were going to do something fun! After much contemplating we decided to go to Roxanne's house in Reno where we could play and go to Tahoe. It was SO much fun. The lake was absolutely beautiful. We spent all day Saturday playing on the beach. So much fun!

On Sunday we went to church with the Hutchen's Fam, and spent the day playing games, watching movies, having an amazing BBQ, and a bonfire. Roxy's parents were unbelievable. They fed us a feast for every meal. It was sooooo good!

Of course the bonfire included a few rounds of Mafia. Typical.

Monday we made the most of our last day by lounging by the pool and BBQ-ing it up. Such a fun trip!

I heart Lisa.

This is Lisa Ann Watkins.
She happens to be one of my favorite people in the whole world.
We became friends in the hallowed halls of OCJHS.
We became better friends at our beloved THS.
We've been bestest friends ever since.
(and we have a million memories to prove it)
Despite the distance college brought we've managed to stay as close as ever.
We love (and hate) all the same things.
She is hilarious, genuine, beautiful, so thoughtful, and basically just amazing.
I'm SO lucky to have her.
She even sends me picture collages @ work :)

I need another weekend...phew...

one of my clients asked me how my weekend was and as I gave her a recap I realized how jam-packed crazy it was....in a good way of course.
FRIDAY
-morning workout
-train ALL my clients (I still don't get how Fridays are my busiest training day??)
-over to Point for some more workity work
-dinner @ Olive Garden for Cami D's B-day. Love that cute lil' thing.
-friends over at our house after

SATURDAY
-Morning workout
-poolside with Roxies & a surprising number of my Provo friends (always a good time)
-Traci's Shower w/Linds... Traci cuts our hair and has become pretty much our family's favorite person ever. She is the only one I know who can tame this mullet. We're so excited for her to have her little baby girl!!
-Errands
-Dinner @ Costa Vida w/Roxy and Brit
-Angels & Demons w/Roxy, Brit, Benita, Lowell, Jeff, & Brandon. SUCH A GOOD MOVIE! I seriously loved it.
-went to a party w/the rest of the crew. Good times.
-Impromptu midnight trip to Smiths

SUNDAY
-Church
-Stayed after to get set apart/meetings/(I am the RS 1st counselor now which I am SO SO SO excited about) I seriously love being in Relief Society, and I have the most AMAZING president to work with, so I can't wait!
-visits to the neighbors
-grass sitting w/Ben & Rox (and having to change locations due to getting drenched by sudden sprinklerization)
-home teachers
-dinner @ Tyler's; w/Jeff, Ash, Roxy, Brit, Lowell, Brady, & Johnny. Thanks again Tyler...Muy Bueno.
-Ward Prayer (funny how I got released from this calling yesterday for my new one, and who's my predecessor....Benita of course) I think our Bishopric thinks they are funny....either that or they know that with us girls it's come one come all and they just REALLY love us.
-Game night @ our house w/the crew.
-Story time @ our house post games....until 2 AM...

Yep the alarm went off WAY to early this morning. I need a day of rest. But don't worry, I'm not complaining. SUCH a fun weekend!

La Caille

Trev came in town for the weekend and invited Benita and I to go up to La Caille with the Safford fam for mothers day brunch!

It was SO much fun and absolutely beautiful up there. The food was of course delish! The afternoon was not short on hilarious stories/theories/opinions from Bryant and Sheliah, lots of photos, the Wicked Soundtrack, and glazed croissants. (Don't worry our waitress gave Trevor about a dozen for the road.)

And of course, it's ALWAYS so fun to see Trev.

I was so glad we got to go! Thanks Saffords :)

CoOkiE RuN

On Saturday afternoon my cute friend Ashley called and asked us if we wanted to go on a "cookie run." She is in love with the cookies up at the Sundance cafe, so we drove up there to get cookies. They looked SO amazing, and I was definitely jealous I wasn't partaking.

It was SO incredibly beautiful up there we had to take the opportunity to snap some photos.

I have adorable friends. I know.

Love my Mom!

My Mom has to be one of the most amazing people I know. She is like the energizer bunny. I really don't know how she does all that she does. She always has a project (or 50) up her sleeve. She is constantly concerned with others, and is so selfless. She has always been patient with me, and has encouraged me to accomplish my dreams. She is so positive and happy. I remember when that Daniel Powter song, "Bad Day," came out my mom was absolutely in love with it, and we all thought it was so funny cause i'm pretty sure my mom doesn't have "bad days." She makes every situation a learning experience. Her pure charity shows through in everything she does. Her testimony is evident through the way she lives. She is such an example and blessing in my life. I love you mom!! Happy Mother's Day!

P.S. I also HAVE to give a mothers day shout out to my sisters Nichole and Linds. Watching them raise their kids is completely awe-inspiring to me. They are AMAZING mothers. I hope I can be just like them one day!! I love you guys!

Summer Checklist

Whenever the seasons start to change I always start to imagine the fun and amazing things I want to do for the upcoming months. Summer is definitely one of those times, and as it starts to get warm I can only begin to think of the endless possibilities. Aside from the obvious laying by the pool, running outside, and driving with the windows down all the time my list goes as follows... (with some past photos to show you why all these things are just so dang fun)

-bonfires in the canyon
-camping

-roller blading down the Provo canyon trail
-watching fireworks...I am a little obsessed...
-a lil' visit from this chica

-lots of frozen yogurt and ice cold DDP...naturally
-lounging by the pool, getting TAN!
-Lake Powell, probably one of my favorite places in the world.

So. The other day I was working out at the gym and the girl in the gray tank top walks by me. I call her that because I see her every time I am there. She wears the EXACT same outfit & She does the EXACT same routine EVERY time, so apparently she has stuck out in my mind. I almost look for her at this point. But, for some reason as I was watching her I kinda started to laugh to myself. Who am I to judge a creature of habit...I then composed a mental list of people who probably think the same thing about me. The list goes as follows:

-The girl who always walks into work with a diet dr. pepper (wow, she must be an addict or something)
-The girl who goes to Pizza Factory by herself on the way home from work gets a salad bar to go
-The girl who gets maverick frozen yogurt by herself all the time (don't worry, I do have friends. And they would go with me...but when nobody's home I'm not holding back.)
-The girl who always wears black (I promise I'm not a goth, and no, I don't go to Hair School...common misconception by gas station attendants. I think it's classy and flattering)
-The girl who always runs with one pant-leg up at the gym (what can I say I get hot)
-The girl who always sneaks drinks into the matinee with her friend, also sneaking drinks (Benita = culprit)
-The girl who frequents the YoZone (Roxanne = culprit, Benita = culprit again)
-The girl who always wears that thing around her arm (people are still curious about the Body Bugg)
-The girl who always pulls into Highland Park with her music blaring, singing at the top of her lungs
-etc. etc. etc.

SO, after I made this mental list I retracted any judgments passed about the girl in the gray tank top. I'm sure she probably just has a few, and she must really like them. What's so wrong with that?
