So Long, Farewell...

Well folks. You heard it here first. Today is the day I am officially ridding myself of my DDP addiction. I almost can't believe i'm actually writing these words because those of you who know me understand that I have a special place in my heart for this amazing little beverage. Picks me up when i'm down...tastes SOOOO good poolside on a hot summer's day...treats my sweet cravings with a 0 calorie effort. Despite all this I want to see if I can do it. Let's hope I'm strong enough.
Thanks for the good times DDP. Hello H20. I guess I need to start practicing saying "I'll have a water with lemon," cause thats all this girls gonna be gettin'!

its alot easier than you think. I did it a while back and now it hurts to have carbonation kinda. I forget how that fizzle feels in your throat. but... i always steal a sip or too of Roger DP. I LOOOOOOVEEE DP!! Love it. Love it.

so i know how it feels to lose something so precious

You know what would make it easier? Becoming a Siggie. http://www.sigg.ch/

The great thing is, that after you stop for good you wont want to break your streak again, it has been honestly Years since i have had a caffeinated beverage, so i don't want to. Also after a while the caffeine just made me feel weird so im proud your doing this!

Really? I am super impressed! Water is nice and tasty, and don't forget you can splurge on the occasional crystal light, like I do to mix it up.
P.S- can you help Trav get off the Coke Zero addiction, it's becoming a little ridiculous. :)

Way to go Meggie!I am so proud of you! Yes it may be hard, but you can do it!! Like Linds, would you convert Dad also. He drinks what he calls a "Ken Driggs cocktail"!! That is DP with coke. Did you look up the article I told you about? They mentioned drinking carbonation in the beginning.

Megan, good luck. I have started into Cherry Coke again and am trying not to drink it anymore. There is something so refreshing (for a moment) of a nice cold soda in the summer. I found your blog through Lindsey's. What are you up to these days cuz? Hope everything is good. daveandjes.blogspot.com

You can TOTALLY do this... and I promise you will feel better doing your workouts too. However, once you have proven to yourself that you can do it, you should reward yourself with a 32 oz :) That's what I did!

I know you can do it! It is just one of those things do you really want to do it? I have decided the last little while I will not order or buy soda but if Denny has one I can't resist a swig every now and again. I have actually tried doubling my water intake lately so we will see how that goes. Good luck with that new goal! I bet you will feel better in the end. ( its not like you are a hard core addict)
