More love

Yesterday I spent the afternoon with these the munchkins.
We fed the ducks, got slurpees, made popcorn, read books, and belted to Hannah Montana.
Can I just tell you that I LOVE these little guys?
(Disclaimer: Don't worry Linds Colston actually was with us. I just didn't get a photo of him.)

L-O-V-E

Remeber this post where I told you I wanted my word of the year to be LOVE.

Well, don't worry. I haven't forgotten about it.
I think about it all the time in fact.
I think this quote from Katherine Hepburn is amazing...

“Love has nothing to do with what you are expecting to get, only with what you are expecting to give, which is everything. You give because you love and you cannot help giving. If you are very lucky, you may be loved back. That is delicious."

Easter-ing

This Easter weekend some friends and I decided to celebrate traditional style. We spent the evening dying Easter eggs which was SO much fun! I was amazed by the creativity!! I should have taken some close ups.

After the eggs were dyed we had the "egg wars." We stole this from Brandon's family tradition each person takes their egg and has a chance to smack the other person's egg. Whoever's egg cracks loses, and the winner moves on to the next round. It was pretty intense.
(If you could see Cam's egg close up you'd see Rambo. He made the fight complete by playing the Rambo theme song...hilarious, and yes his egg won.)

Our Egg dying/breaking was followed up by some of the most intense games of Mafia I've ever played. Cut-throat doesn't begin to define it. Good times!

WHOA Lola....

Sister Lauren Foutz Ladies and Gents.
That's right.
She's back.
After putting in her 19 months at the Winter Quarters visitor's center in Omaha, Nebraska our dear lil' Lola has returned back to us, and we couldn't be happier. She came and stayed with Benits and I for a week, and it was just like old times, only better! The festivities lasted all week long.

A trip to the Velour to see Imagine Dragons play. Lola was a VIP at this event due to the fact that she may or may not be good friends with the lead singer. Who doesn't want to be good friends with this blond little delight? Let's be honest. Lauren is one hot commodity.
We dyed easter eggs.
The dying of eggs was actually followed by Lola's "cuzi jumpin" where she successfully made it into 5 jacuzzis in provo. We actually went to 9 but 4 were drained...too bad. (see picture of lola above)

We got to see our ADORABLE friend Amber who is with child.

The seeing of Amber also brought other past bff's Linds and Kacey...so fun to see everyone as always!
other fun items that were on our agenda:
dinner at carrabas
conference
creating a facebook for lola...add her...
hearing about the adventures of Sister Foutz

So glad you are back Lauren! What a fun week :)

Catch up...

I have had a bunch of pics on my camera that I haven't had a chance to upload, so I'll have to do some catch up blogging. Better late than never, right?

A few weeks ago the Barney fam came to Utah to spend their spring break in Park City. I love it when they come! The Fitch fam and I met them up at Baja Cantina for dinner, and then I stayed the night with them. The next day Ki and I went Snowboarding at the Canyons. It was actually Kiley, Me, and her friends Taylor and Brooke. Yep, me and 3 teenagers. It was seriously SO much fun. I got to tell them all my roommate/college/boy horror stories on the lift rides up, and then we cruised all the way down in the AMAZING 65 degree sunshine. It was awesome. Kiley and I have too much fun together I think. Thanks for letting me come play Barneys!

How cute is this lil' Bosty...seriously?

and Savy is to die for as well... I don't know why I didn't get any pics of the Barneys...sad :(

Heather and Josh came in town for a weekend a few weeks ago, and we got to spend Saturday night with them. We went to the Myan for dinner and then went to see a movie after. So fun! I love those two. It is so weird to look at this picture and see all three of us girlies with brown hair? What?? I still don't think it looks like me. I'm glad I still get to see all my besties every now and again.

Don't you worry. There's even more where that came from...

Gratitude

I have a lot of things I need to blog about, updates, photos, and such. But ALL I can think about as I sit here after having watched the Sunday Morning session of General conference is how grateful I am.

Grateful to be sitting here listening to such amazing, inspired words.
Grateful for my Father in Heaven's mindfulness of my much needed answers to prayers through the words of His servants.
Grateful for the reminder of all of my blessings.
Grateful for the Gospel and the truth and knowledge that it provides.
Grateful for President Monson and his inspired apostles.
Grateful, especially, for my Savior. For His sacrifice. For His love for me.
